Railways: 40,000 rail bogies to be converted to Vande Bharat coaches for passenger safety and comfort. Expansion of key rail projects like Metro Rail and Namo Bharat.
Electricity: 10 million households to get free solar electricity, saving up to ₹15,000-18,000 annually.
“Nari Shakti” (Women’s Empowerment):
Entrepreneurship: More women are starting businesses, with 30 crore loans given through Mudra Yojana.
Education: Female enrollment in higher education has increased by 28%, and 43% of students in STEM courses are girls and women, one of the highest rates globally.
Workforce Participation: These efforts are leading to more women joining the workforce.
Legal Protections: Laws like making ‘Triple Talaq’ illegal and reserving one-third of seats in Parliament and State legislatures for women are ensuring their rights.
Tourism: States encouraged for comprehensive development of tourist centers, establishing a quality rating system. Focus on port connectivity, tourism infrastructure, and island development for employment generation.
Ayushman Bharat: Extension of Ayushman Bharat cover to all Anganwadi and Asha workers.
Housing: Over 70% of houses under PM Awas Yojana in rural areas are given to women as sole or joint owners, enhancing their dignity and financial independence.
Rooftop Solarization and Free Electricity: One crore households will get up to 300 units of free electricity every month through rooftop solarization. This plan supports the Prime Minister’s vision and offers benefits like annual savings of Rs. 15,000-18,000, charging electric vehicles, entrepreneurship opportunities, and jobs for skilled youth.
Housing for the Middle Class: The government will help middle-class families living in rented houses, slums, or unauthorized colonies to buy or build their own homes.
Medical Colleges Expansion: To meet the growing demand for doctors and improve healthcare, the government plans to establish more medical colleges by utilizing existing hospital infrastructure. A committee will be formed to address related issues and make recommendations.
Cervical Cancer Vaccination: Girls aged 9 to 14 will be encouraged to get vaccinated against cervical cancer for prevention.
Maternal and Child Healthcare: Various schemes for maternal and child care will be integrated into one comprehensive program for better implementation. Upgradation of anganwadi centers under “Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0” will improve nutrition delivery and early childhood development. The U-WIN platform for managing immunization and Mission Indradhanush will be rolled out across the country.
Strategy for ‘Amrit Kaal’ (Golden Era):
Economic Policies: The government will make rules that help the economy grow, make sure everyone gets a chance to develop, and create opportunities for all.
Reform, Perform, Transform: Following the principle of ‘Reform, Perform, and Transform’, the government will introduce new reforms and work closely with states and stakeholders to make them work well.
Support for MSMEs: The government will provide money, technology, and training to small and medium businesses so they can grow and compete globally. They’ll also make rules easier for them to follow.
Sustainable Growth: To keep the economy growing well while using fewer resources, the government will focus on energy security—making sure energy is available, accessible, and affordable.
Financial Sector Preparation: The government will get the financial sector ready to invest by making it bigger, more skilled, and setting up good rules.
LakhpatiDidi Program: A program called LakhpatiDidi has empowered rural women through Self-Help Groups (SHGs). These groups, totaling 83 lakh with 9 crore women, have already helped nearly 1 crore women become financially independent. Their success will be celebrated, and the target for LakhpatiDidi is being increased from 2 crore to 3 crore women.
Technological Changes: New technologies and data are changing how people and businesses operate. They create new opportunities for economic growth and provide high-quality services at affordable prices, even for those with lower incomes. India’s innovative solutions and entrepreneurship are gaining recognition globally.
