Pricing and Competition
Honda is positioning the Amaze as a premium alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the current segment leader. While the Dzire offers a lower starting price of ₹6.79 lakh and includes a CNG variant, the Amaze focuses on offering a more refined driving experience. With its CVT automatic transmission priced from ₹9.20 lakh to ₹10.90 lakh, the Amaze aims to outshine the Dzire’s AMT range of ₹8.24 lakh to ₹10.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Amaze showcases a refreshed exterior, featuring:
- A large upright grille with a hexagonal pattern.
- Twin-pod projector headlights for enhanced visibility.
- A sleek bumper design with integrated projector fog lamps.
- 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 185-section tyres.
Subtle updates, like the repositioning of wing mirrors from the pillar to the door, give the sedan a more premium look. Comparisons to Honda’s City sedan are evident, particularly in the design of the lower bumper and central air dam.
