Keir Starmer -The work of change begins today.
The Labour Party has won a significant victory in the UK general election, ending the Conservative Party’s 14-year run in power. Keir Starmer, the Labour leader, will be the next Prime Minister after Rishi Sunak conceded defeat early Friday morning.
Labour’s win is projected to be one of the largest in recent history, possibly rivaling Tony Blair’s 179-seat majority in 1997.
Voters across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland cast their ballots for the 650-member House of Commons on Thursday. While the vote count continues, the results are being announced as they come in.
