The private bus, operated by Singh Travels (registration number MP 21 P 0786), was en route from Chhatarpur to Damoh. According to reports, the vehicle suddenly lost control and overturned, causing severe injuries to the passengers on board.

Tragically, a 30-year-old man named Damodar Singh, hailing from Batiagadh, was declared dead upon arrival. Another passenger, Rama Asati from Damoh, suffered severe injuries, including the loss of her hand, and was referred to the district hospital in critical condition.
Seven other passengers sustained serious injuries and were also transferred to the district hospital for specialized treatment. Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic and distress as passengers cried out for help amid the wreckage.
