The 31-year-old pacer now boasts 52 wickets in Australia, eclipsing Kapil Dev’s tally of 51 wickets from 11 matches. Bumrah’s remarkable performance included six wickets in the first innings, followed by crucial dismissals of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne in the second innings, cementing his dominance Down Under.

Bumrah and Kapil Dev are the only Indian bowlers to have taken 50 or more wickets on Australian soil. Anil Kumble follows closely behind in third place with 49 wickets.
In the broader context of visiting bowlers, West Indies’ Curtly Ambrose holds the top spot, having taken 78 wickets in 14 games at an average of 19.
Bumrah’s stellar form has also earned him the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test Bowler Rankings, with an impressive 890 rating points, solidifying his status as one of the best bowlers in the world today.
